About Alpine Power Solutions and David Gocke

In Antarctica or northern Alaska, a well-running generator is a lifeline.

David Gocke is the owner of Alpine Power Solutions business in Loveland, and earned his experience with power generators in those harsh environments. Gocke, a mechanic with 30 years of experience working on a variety of vehicles and equipment, opened his shop in the summer of 2016 and has served Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming since.

He services generators large and small and is a dealer for Generac Power Systems, Mecc Alte, and Aurora generators. He works on generators at his shop, 518 S. Lincoln Ave., Unit B, or can take his repair truck to perform maintenance on-site.

A Loveland resident since 1989, Gocke has worked at several automotive repair businesses here. Starting in 2007, he worked three summer seasons for a government contractor in Antarctica. This is where he picked up the skill to work on generators.

After this Gocke was a heavy-equipment and generator mechanic in the oil fields in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, commuting from Loveland with a two weeks on, two weeks off schedule.

While Alpine Power Solutions isn’t the only business in Loveland that services generators, there are many generator owners who had been using technicians from Denver. This is when he decided to that providing local generator services in Northern Colorado would be beneficial to the community.

One customer was a retirement community in Loveland that has a large standby generator, but yet was still using a generator service company in Denver. Medical and commercial facilities and many businesses have equipment to provide an uninterrupted source of electricity. Without a technician that can quickly be on hand to handle generator issues, it can greatly affect revenue and, in the case of a medical facility, potentially put patients at risk. Some people who rely on medical oxygen generators can’t go without electricity.

Small businesses can be heavily affected by generator trouble as well. For example a customer that runs a small business out of his home in the mountains providing technical support can’t go a day without power, as it will ruin an entire day of business.

Alpine Power Solutions sells permanent backup generators as well as portable units that can be taken to the cabin for the weekend or to a job site – carrying all of the top generator brands like Generac, Mecc Alte, Aurora, and more. Gocke works on all sizes of units, from small generators in recreational vehicles up to commercial machines. He also does automotive, small-engine, motorcycle and ATV maintenance at his shop.

Alpine Power Solutions is open 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Gocke is available for emergency calls 24 hours a day. For more information, contact David today!
